To the Honorable Averroës Nix, Chief Judicial Officer of the Northeast Region.
I am bringing suit against the Northeast Government with regard to the certification of the Assembly election held from June 20 to June 22.
Article I, Section 4, of the Northeast Constitution, which governs Assembly elections. The relevant text has been bolded for your Honor's benefit. It states:
The passage clearly states that the election ends at 11:59:59 PM EST on the last day of the election - any votes cast after that time are invalid.
Deus Naturae cast his ballot just over two hours after the offical end of the poll:
Governor:
1. Write in: cinyc
Assembly:
1. Bacon bacon
2. Rpryor
3. Write in jomcar
Despite former Governor Dallasfan stating at the opening of the poll that "voting outside of the time parameters will disqualify your ballot," the Governor proceeded to count Deus's ballot and certify the election results.
Upon questioning the present Governor, Talleyrand, he stated that it was decided to give leeway to Deus's ballot because the poll itself was opened late. As understandable as that might be, there is simply no procedure for the Governor to take such action, and it has no constitutional basis.
Therefore, I request that Your Honor invalidate Deus Naturae's vote and order an amended certification of the election results.
