... that somehow incorporates this map:

Alaska, Hawaii, and DC are optional to be included.  Most likely this would be an electoral map, but if you can find some other way to use it, go ahead!  It can be any time, also, as long as there are, at least, the contiguous 48 states.

(FYI, state-by-state, party-by-party maps:

OOPS I forgot to color Washington for Burnt Orange.  It's, at the very most, >10% Burnt Orange

Closest states: Arkansas and Louisiana)

If you want another Randy Jones, it can not be done. Jones was a brilliant timeline and never can be re-done! Smiley

In 2000 the Congress passes a constitutional amendment that allows naturalized citizens to run for President.

2002:

The amendment is ratified by the states and is now law.

Jesse "The Mind/Body" Ventura Decides to run for a second term as Governor of MN and wins.

December 2003
Dick Cheney can no longer handle the stress of being Vice President and resigns.

MI Governor Jennifer Granholm declares her candidacy for President of the United States of America. She does this with a pleathera of of Democratic contenders including: John Kerry, John Edwards, Wes Clark, and SURPRISE AL GORE!

Senator Ben "Nighthorse" Campbell of Colorado decides to make a run for the Republican nomination.

Early 2004:
The primary campaigns are bitter between President Bush and Senator Campbell. So much so it creates a major rift between the two sides of the party. Campbell who was running a very moderate campaign drops out of the GOP primary after doing poorly on Super Tuesday. However, polls that he'd be a favorite in a head to head race against the Democrat. So he declares his candidacy for the United States as the Reform candidate and picks fellow Senator Olympia Snowe to be his runningmate.

Meanwhile for the Democrats Governor Granholm is steamrolling her competition and easily wins the nomination. Al Gore is very upset at this.

A few centrist Senators, after seeing the way Sen. Campbell was treated in the primaries, switch to Ind.s or Democratic or Reform
parties. Specter goes independant, of course, Snowe goes Reform, and John McCain, and Lincoln Chafee switch to Democrat.

Convention time 2004:
At the Democratic convention in NY Governor Granholm announces her running mate. To everyone's surprise and shock it is Senator John McCain of Arizona!

Meanwhile Governor Ventura is enjoying a skyrocketing approval rating and sees one heck of an opportunity in front of him to become President. He sees that he needs to pick a person from the Deep South. He selects aging SENATOR Tom Bevill (he became senator in this timeline).

Finally at the Republican convention George W. Bush in an attempt to win over the mederates of the party that he so greatly offended selects Arnold Schwarzenegger as his Vice President.

Late 2004:
Sadly the power of the Campbell/Snowe ticket has faded because of the heavy amount of vote splitting to the point where Campbell and Snowe do not get invited to the Presidential or Vice-Presidential debates because they are under 10% in the polls. Ventura is enjoying surpsiing numbers in the South after getting the endorsement of Al Gore.

Mason-Dixon:
Ventura/Bevill 28%
Granholm/McCain 24%
Bush/Schwarzenegger 20%
Campbell/Snowe 8%
Undecided 20%

In the first of the debates Ventura crushes Granholm and Bush this sends his number up to the 40s and sends Granholm and Bush into the teens. The Poor performance by Bush and Granholm has given Campbell/Snowe some steam.

Zogby:
Ventura 41%
Granholm 18%
Bush 14%
Campbell 11%
Undecided 16%

In the Vice Presidential debate which includes Senator Snowe Arnold Schwarzenegger brings down the house. Bevill sadly does very poorly and made more gaffes then you could possibly imagine. McCain held his ground and so did Snowe. The polls showed just how vulnerable Ventura's base could be.

Fox Dynamics:
Ventura 29%:
Bush 28%
Granholm 27%
Campbell 12%
Undecided 4%

In the final debate Ventura had a tough time fending off the attacks on his Veep, mostly from Senator Campbell, and it made him look rather weak. Bush was the cowboy most Americans knew him to be and he publically applogized to Senator Campbell about the bad blood in the primaries. Granholm stood strong.

Mason-Dixon Poll
Bush 32%
Granholm 30%
Ventura 20%
Campbell 5%
13% Undecided

Election night 2004:
On election night ILV's map came true!

The end!

2005:  Ilikeverin gets a box of crayons.

2005:  A week later, a strangely colored map of the United States appears.

Ilikeverin hacks into the diebold database.  Makes states go for random candidates.
