Around the time of the mid terms, terrible posters join and later go away for a brief time period. Most of the 2012 hacks are gone, but the 2016 hacks are here and still coming. For those who remember both, who was worse?

Are there any 2016 hacks who would get over 90% HP in an "opinion of" poll like poundingtherock did?

The Obama hacks in 2012 were not bad at all, and I don't remember any Romney hacks besides Kevin and Winfield. The Hillary hacks can be awful, though Ice Spear has actually broken free of them and I don't view him as negatively as I once did.

There were hacks for other candidates in the leadup to the 2012 primaries, such as the aforementioned poundingtherock for Palin.

Also, Kevin and Winfield were the only hacks for Romney?  Have you read this thread?

And specifically the posts of not just Winfield, but tmthforu94 as well?

2012 made people angrier, but it could be hilarious at times and it had its moments.  2012 for sure.

Jeez, my Hillary hackishness can't even hold a candle to that thread.

I joined around Summer of 2012, and starting in late September I witnessed a huge uptick in relative hackers on 2012 board. It was as if all of the evil energy of the universe was concentrated in one area at one moment in time. Kinda like Justin Bieber, but political.

But it was amusing and I'd love to moderate the 2016 board to mess with the trolls.

It's unfair to compare them at this time. We all know that the hackery gets beyond toleration in the final months, and we're obviously not at that point when it comes to 2016. Wait until the dirks and heatmasters of the world make their way back.

I'm comparing the 2012 board in 2010 to the 2016 board in 2014.  That's a fair comparison.

The year is only half over.  I can almost guarantee that the general election season will be much much more entertaining.

At the time I will decline to comment, as I think it is far too early to determine how hackish the 2016 board will end up being.  The hackishness usually goes up exponentially in the months before an election and we haven't really seen any of the "election trolls" show up yet.  It is usually around the time of September when a number of unsavory contemptible POSes show up with views that seem to have come straight out of the 18th century.  Though I will comment that for as assholish as some of our 2016 hacks can be, none of them holds candles to posters like krazen and milhouse who have made statements like people who don't have any kids and are married are scamming the system or that public teachers deserve to die.

So yeah, for now I'm leaning 2012.  The IceSpears and Non Swing Voters of the world aren't trying near hard enough to earn the honor of being as bad as the Almighty Trolls of 2012 were.

Well then, I'm comparing the 2012 board circa June 2010 to the 2016 board circa June 2014.

I actually enjoy the primary season more than the general election.  Certainly, the 2008 board was more interesting during primary season than during the GE.

The 2016 hacks are overwhelmingly bland so far. 2012 (during the GE) had Politico, Mondale84 and Krazen - all of which, while obnoxious, could provide amusement.

The 2016 board is already worse.
