Of course. Governor Jindal will make sure of that.

No.

Haha, I'll tell you one thing!  If she does make it competitive, this forum will surely reject the idea that poor rural Southerners aren't quite as unanimously Republican in a non-Obama era as we all thought and instead will decide Louisiana is now less Southern.

In fact, the entire world will probably reject that idea. That is, aside from that group of republicans who will keep on chanting "Nominate someone more conservative! Nominate someone more conservative!" until the democrats win 538-0 in the EC.

It's not impossible.  Bill Clinton carried Louisiana 52-40 in 1996 and 46-41 in 1992; he probably would have won both times had Perot not been a candidate.  A lot would depend on who Hillary chose as a running mate.  I don't know that any other Democrat could carry Louisiana, but it's not totally out of the question.

I would include it in the generic GOP floor, if that answers the question.

I think this board is missing the meaning of competitive. All it means according me and the user who started this topic that the state is within single digits/close enough that people campaign there a bit. Bush even campaigned in California in 2000 and 2004. Are you telling me a state that Clinton carried twice with a minority population that will climb over 40% by 2016 has no chance at even being competitive?

It's only one poll, but OP may be vindicated.

She is too liberal to carry Louisiana she is not her husband and this is not the 90s. Her numbers in these deep southern states will collapse towards election day once the campaign starts and she takes partisan positions.
