What is your opinion of the RNC chair? How long you do think he stays in that position?

Needs to grow a pair and purge the Party of those who weaken it from within.

Just coming up with this (I remember the first time you did) makes you one of our best posters. Just beautiful.

Mild FF, but nowhere near as good as some of the past RNC chairs.

I know a guy who worked with him (and Karl Rove briefly, as well), and he had nothing good to say about the man.

I'm pretty confused why he was picked for another term as Chairman of the RNC.

Don't you like how they ditched the black guy after one term despite the fact that he presided over the GOP landslide of 2010, but kept the guy who presided over the GOP disaster of 2012?

He destroyed every ounce of credibility he had with his laughable attacks and threats on the independent Hillary documentaries that were about to be produced by CNN and another broadcaster. Just down right childish and crybabyish and something I would never expect from a party leader who's supposed to be all for a free market operating independently from outside influences (including himself and other party bosses).

Massive FF, of course. Reince Priebus  - or as I like to call him "Prince Rebus" -  is a true visionary for our time.

Ah yes, the "GOP landslide" of 2010, when Tea Partiers blew tons of winnable races on lousy candidates like Sharron Angle, Christine O'Donnell, Ken Buck, and Bill Brady.  That sure was a great election for Republicans.

Giving Michael Steele credit for 2010 is pretty ridiculous to be honest. More like he bumbled into it and rode a wave. The RNC chairman really has one job and that is to bring in money and Steele couldn't do that. Blaming Priebus for 2012 is also dumb. We ran a crappy candidate. There's not much he could really do about that.

Are you actually arguing that wasn't a good year for the GOP?

It was certainly better than 2012 was.

I know, but it's still funny that the only empirical objective measure (election results) was great for Steele and horrible for Priebus, yet they ditch the former and keep the latter.

Sure, but it wasn't the resounding mandate that nearly everyone thinks it was.
