Would Paul Krugman be a viable candidate if he decided to run in the Democratic primary?

In fact, I can't think of any polician besides Elizabeth Warren who's been more staunchly anti-Republican than the New York Times essayist and economist Krugman during the past six years. Krugman really means business and he seems to always have the relevant statistics available and corresponding attack lines to back them.

Well he's not random as he's one of the most political figures in America. Tongue
It's not completely wrong to claim that Krugman is for economics what Al Gore is for the climate.

And after all, it's the economy stupid, right?

I like Krugman, but I'd never vote for an economist for President.

Even if his wise president was totally awesome?
Let's say Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren or Al Gore?

It's not end of thread. You're trying to curb free speech.

Nope. He lacks the charisma and relatability. Not to mention his obvious weaknesses on foreign policy.

Secretary of the Treasury might make more sense.

He doesn't seem inclined to run, and it's not in his interests.

He's a Nobel Prize winning economist with a following among liberals. He doesn't need the extra publicity, and it could make him look less serious when he inevitably gets trounced.

Tough guy, but may be too far-left to be president, but if Cruz can run, so can Krugman.
