I hope for a good natured discussion regarding these two. Both are incredibly enlightening/amusing/cringeworthy/seemingly parodical but you must chose one.

Please try and take your own ideology out of the equation, as it is a poll featuring a red avatar member versus a blue avatar member.

I look forward to your opinions.

So by "perspective" you don't mean "ideology?"  If that's the case, I don't see much difference between the two.  Both seem to have a longing for Traditional American Values™, but that doesn't make their ideologies similar.

How do we take our own ideology out of the question? Wouldn't our preferred political perspective be directly related to our political ideology?

You're thinking too much about it yet missing an important point.

If you know me well enough, that's not really surprising. Tongue

Reaganfan's posts have this underlying fear and desperation to them that is beautiful and hilarious.

I don't know Bushie's political perspective well enough to choose him.

Yes.

No matter how idiotic his views can be, at least he has them. I prefer hacks that believe in something to the totally content free, pseudo independent minded attitude that Bushie constantly demonstrates.

Naso backs up his tragically ludicrous and facile opinions about how the world should work with threadbare anecdotal evidence that can be quite amusing, or even enlightening in a warped sort of way. Bushie constantly vacillates for literally no reason and has more or less admitted to just acting as a conduit for whatever he thinks other people want. Say what you will about Naso's perspective, but it is a perspective. Bushie is the Great American Swing Voter, an in most cases absolutely abject thing to be, and doesn't even have the excuse of being low-information.

Bushie. Naso's views are much more vile and destructive.

Bushie.

He has shown the ability, at least politically to reach different conclusions from those he used to hold. Naso is stuck in a perpetual 'Family Ties' re-run.
