(Rick Perry, announcing that he has ordered a state of emergency due to the massive illegal immigration crisis)
It is time for action in this immediate crisis! Our federal government needs to act, American citizens are at risk, and we must defend this country! If the President, the executive, the head of the military, is too afraid to act, then it is time for the states to step up in times of crisis. I am hereby ordering the Texas National Guard to the Texan-Mexican border. No illegal aliens will be allowed through. I am calling upon all Texan militia groups to help the National Guard in defending the border. This problem requires action, and I am taking action. I request the full force of the U.S. Military in this state of emergency.
