It didn't have to be, but in reality...yes, of course.

I'm not sure Bushie understands that many people who graduate from his CADD program won't get a job out of it. He definitely doesn't seem to understand that few employers are going to want to hire someone who has a reputation for doing the least amount of work possible to get by. I certainly wouldn't hire him based off of his past work history or his educational history, would you?

Bushie has the following working in his favor:
(1) He has a four-year college degree.
(2) He has never committed a felony.
(3) He does not have problems with drugs or alcohol.
(4) He does not have any out-of-wedlock children needing child support.

That already puts him a few tiers above many of America's hourly workers.

Mods, can we combine this with the existing Update thread, please?  I echo the calls to keep this to a one-thread entity.

He should've gone for his Masters if wanted more education and to reinvent himself. I've said that from the start.

His excuse was it was "cheaper" to do CADD but it was cheaper the same way flushing $1,000 down the toilet is cheaper than buying a $10,000 car.

Obviously, the real reason for CADD was so he could suspend having to look for a job for a year. We all know that. He obviously didn't excel at it. He just needed an excuse to sit around for a year without having to look for work.

He should have gone back to finish his computer science degree and worked as an IT guy who just sits in a computer room all day and occasionally fixes someone's computer problem. But I think CADD took longer, so he went for that.

I know a guy for whom only #2 applies to (actually maybe not even that, change that to "has never been convicted of a felony") who makes probably near $80k a year, though granted he has hordes of IT certifications required for his position that it's probably harder to get than a master's (despite him having only a two year associate's degree. His computer skills are mostly self-taught.) But of course those certifications make him a special case. Despite that, I'd much rather hire someone without a degree who has some years old drug conviction who gets drunk and high regularly outside of work and with a couple kids who proves that he can do an efficient and good job at work than Bushie, who has proven himself to not be reliable at all.

As for CADD, Duke's right.

It seems like it was a waste of time and money (although not as much of a waste of time because he rarely showed up to class).
