Anyone who thinks that Obama is a worse president than Nixon (especially the "libertarians" saying as much) is an idiot and an ignorant.

Well that settles it, guys.

At accomplishing their goals, best to worst:
1)LBJ
2)Reagan

3)Obama

4)Bush 43

5)Nixon
6)Carter

My subjective view of their impact on the country, best to worst:

1)LBJ
2)Obama

3)Carter

4)Bush 43
5)Nixon
6)Reagan

I moved Nixon around after thinking about it. Whatever his other qualities, I Watergate had a long-lasting negative impact on the American political system, and it's hard to call a President successful at accomplishing his own goals when he has to resign.

I think Obama is the worst at "being president," but I don't think he has so far actually been the worst president. Does that make sense?

I'd probably go with Carter out of the group.

To use Hagrid's terminology, Carter was obviously the worst at "being President' but the worst was obviously Nixon.

Bush is the worst president on that list, and one of the worst ever. Carter is 2nd worst on the list, then Nixon.

Of all the people on this list, Obama inherited the worst situation of any of them. Even Carter was diligent enough to get back the hostages before he left office and set things in motion for the economy to recover from the oil shock. Nixon's situation was entirely of his own making.

Tough call between Bush the Younger, Nixon, and Reagan, although all of these choices are terrible.

The Great Society and Civil Rights Act tell me LBJ was way ahead of the other pack of dumbasses and scumbags.

Yeah, there's no reason for anyone on the left to dislike LBJ. The Vietnam war never happened.

What's worse is the "progressives" who love Nixon because they think he's more liberal than Obama because of the EPA or whatever.

The neoliberal banksters obviously invented Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, and the Civil Rights Act. There is no reason for any true leftist to apply nuance with LBJ.
