On one side, we have the Great American Narrative. Religion. Purpose. Health. Family. Love. Money. Politics. And soon, probably, Death.
And on the other side you have Sneakers O'Toole. I don't even know how Family Guy is a thing.

2011 & Before Family Guy. Anything after that has been utter trash.

Wait you actually like South Park? You struck me as the type who'd also have an extreme hatred toward any media work that was even remotely right wing.

Well in general Antonio doesn't strike me as someone who would like either South Park's style of "humor" or its politics.

There's no way I'm going to get involved into a discussion with you regarding the politics of South Park being "right wing" so I'll just say you're being very.. you.. and leave it at that. I guess I can see what you mean regarding the style of humor.

The feminist message of the South Park episode "The Hobbit" seems right up Antonio's alley, actually.

I'm not fond of South Park and it's certainly not my kind of stuff (I think there's something about US humorous cartoons in general that just rubs me the wrong way), but it's not nearly as soul-crushingly moronic as Family Guy.

Can't compare a serial drama to a sketch comedy show.

I realize that typing this is probably a waste of time and energy, but there's nothing "right wing" about South Park at all.  You're seeing patterns of "bias" when there aren't any.

I've said before that even if South Park is right wing 51% of the time and left wing 49% of the time that still puts it WAAAAAAAAY more right wing than Family Guy or most shows on TV.

The thing is, South Park is neither right wing nor left wing.  It's not a politics show.

Family Guy tries to be a fake Republican show from time to time. South Park seems to just sniff blood anywhere it can find it. Republicans do seem to be a little Luddite from time to time but it could just be to criticize people who are trying to achieve things that even they don't understand.

It's very political, but in a much more subtle way. Take the shadow endorsement of Ron Paul in the "Faith Hilling" episode. To quote the co-creators of the show, "we hate conservatives, but we really hate liberals." I agree with Night Man that they take on everyone though.

I noticed South Park has been far more lenient on Obama than they were Clinton and Gore. In fact, there's really nothing about South Park universe Obama that's portrayed as negative.

How is this even close? Would Family Guy vs. Breaking Bad be close on here?

Obama is far more intelligent and articulate, and certainly more likeable and genuine than Clinton and Gore so it makes sense.

Update is often considered to be one of the great American literary works of the 21st century. It is the obvious choice in this poll.

I vote for Family Guy because it's consistent in quality while Update has had some terrible parts, like the Utah arc.
