This has enough votes to pass.
And since everyone agrees, no need of the 24 hour changes.

Aye (5): Senator TNF, Senator Alfred, Senator bore, Senator Goldwater, Senator Tyrion
Nnon voting (3): Senator Griffin, Senator North Carolina Yankee, Senator Lumine
This bill passes.
I, Windjammer, certify these results are accurate.

For senators who haven't voted,
Don't forget to vote FTR.

X DemPGH, President

The statutes being repealed here are largely relics from a bygone era, and I think TNF has done well to unearth them. It's always wise to do a review of old laws and long-forgotten statutes so that we might weed out what is no longer necessary or, in some cases, undemocratic.

The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 is still needed for the sake of national security.

I disagree. In fact, it was originally vetoed on the grounds that it was borderline racist. It has been amended many times IRL.

"National security" is far too vague for me.

It was amended to prevent and correct the perceived racial parts while preserving the parts giving the government the power to deport after convicting those foreign nationals of serious crime. We need to keep the good parts.

Yea, five days, but only if a majority is not reached before then. Tongue

I figured I would have more time though. But one of the benefits of being late is I can get away with this: Aye on 1 and 3, Nay on 2. Tongue

Where severability is not available, the negative would take precendence over the positive respone no?
