Pessimistic, although I am working to change that. Life is suffering, accepting that is logical, but turning my attitude around is difficult. Actually I seek a balance between the two ways of looking at the world. I am highly sensitive, but I know I have the power to do what I need to survive. The fact that I haven't completely surrendered to the dark side is a reason for hope. I am also very introverted.

Very optimistic.  The world is getting better.  More people have more of the important things in life than ever before.  We're safer, healthier and better entertained than at any point in time.  Of course there are still many wrongs to be righted, but we're heading in the right direction.

Mixture of Buddha and Clarko. I'd call myself a cautious optimist.

I'm typically German in my pessimism. Tend to be sceptical and then be happy if something goes well. It's not depression, just a desire to not be disappointed.

Uh.. shouldn't you, like, expect to not be, for consistency's sake?

I am strongly pessimistic. I see the worst in everyone and expect everything to fail or otherwise go badly.

I've been generally optimistic on my life prospects since I graduated from high school. These days, I'm starting to wonder if I'm not getting my hopes too high.

Regarding the general state of the world, I'm pessimistic on the short term but optimistic on the long term.

Yeah, I think it's a good thing to be skeptical because there are a lot of situations with too many factors outside of your control.

Still voted optimist!

Realistic. Tongue Actually, I'm fairly optimistic over the longterm even if not so much in the short term.

The wisest people you'll ever meet are successful coaches. One said to me one time, "The older you get the better you can predict the future. And there's going to be a lot of good and a lot of bad. Ride it out." It was one of those coach moments where a little nugget of wisdom proved to be 100% accurate.

I am very pessimistic about my own life, but optimistic about virtually everything else.

That's my exact view as well.

Pessimistic about the present, optimistic about the future. Though cynical about my own optimism, I must admit.

If nothing else, it cannot be denied that this is the best of all possible worlds.
