Italy-Croatia may be postponed tomorrow due to horrible flash floods. Croatia's coach already said the conditions are unplayable. Sad

Greece lost to the Faroe Islands...in Greece. Excellent troll routine, Ranieri.

The Faroese celebrate it like they have won EM, not that I don't understand them, it's pretty incredible.

Greece can take comfort though in the fact that they are not the only ones who lost to the Faroe Islands:

On Tuesday, the next big game is going on here in Vienna:

Austria vs. Brasil (a friendly game and the last one this year)

Of course, it's sold out (actually, it was the game that was sold out as quickly as no game before).

Despite beating Russia, I think Brazil is another caliber and we'll lose 1-3.

But you never know, maybe they have a bad day like against Germany ... Tongue

Just read that Brasil is currently on a run and not only unbeaten since their WC debacle at home, but also got no goals in any of their test games (12-0).

A very controversial decision happened before the actual 1:0 ...

The English referee (or his colleague at the sideline) decided it was no goal for Austria.

Just a minute later though, Okotie scored again and this one counted.

What say you ?

From that angle, it looks like a clear no goal to me.

From that angle, it looks like a clear no goal to me.

But you also need to factor in that the Russian GK's hands have not yet touched the ball, which means the ball was moving further inside the goal, maybe the 2 inches needed so it is completely over the line.

This "slow-motion" shot is not the "final" ... Wink

It's been a good week for the minnows so far.  Liechtenstein and the Faroes won, San Marino got a point, and Gibraltar conceded about five goals fewer than everyone expected them to against the Germans...

Is there a team in the world that can stop the viking juggernaut that is Iceland at the moment? They are looking unstoppable.

I'm fairly confident that we'll win the Wednesday friendly with Germany.

Yeah, Germany's struggling lately - so you definitely have a chance.

I'll say 2-1 Spain.

Other interesting friendly games tonight (+ my predictions):

* Austria vs. Brazil (1-3)
* Poland vs. Switzerland (1-1)
* Ireland vs. USA (0-1)
* Italy vs. Albania (2-0)
* Portugal vs. Argentina (1-2)
* Scotland vs. England (1-1)
* France vs. Sweden (2-2)

Austria vs. Brazil starts in 20 minutes.

Brazil's starting team:

Diego Alves - Danilo, David Luiz, Miranda, Filipe Luis - Willian, Luiz Gustavo, Fernandinho, Oscar - Neymar, Luiz Adriano

...

Looks like they definitely want to win Wink

Austria leads Brazil for a few seconds, but goal not given by the Scottish referee. Was Ok though because it was a pretty hilarious hand goal, Maradona style. Wink

Funnily enough, Austria is playing much better so far than Brazil ... no Neymar to see anywhere (well, he's on the field).

This game is absolutely thrilling for a friendly.

Austria just hit the goalpost and Brazil plays like against Germany at the WC.

First half over and it's 0-0.

I'll see that as a victory already.
