Why is Zogby considered a joke poll?

This post is not all all trying to defend zogby, I'm just interested in why they are considered so terrible. Is it their method of polling, or is it hilariously bad predictions?

Zogby's accuracy seemed to go downhill starting in either 2004 (when they predicted a Kerry victory) or 2008. Nate Silver has a good explanation for why he doesn't value Zogby:

Does Zogby do any telephone polling anymore, or just internet polling?  Their internet polling has always been laughably bad:

Their telephone polling was terrible in general elections, but did nail some of the early presidential primary results in 2004 and 2008.  As Spade noted here:

back then, Zogby telephone polling wasn't to be dismissed in the primaries.  But Spade was convinced that that was largely because Zogby was a good guesser, and went with his gut in the primaries over whatever his "polling" told him.
