Lief has something to be thankful for today. Poor Dortmund.

And a good day for Snowstalker: Atletico now up 4-0 against Olympiacos. Big help to Juve (who are also ahead).

Mandzukic scored a hat trick with two headers despite his bad neck. The fact that we actually have majority possession says a lot about Olympiakos' performance tonight.

Celtic got wallopped 1-3 at home after all, but both Salzburg and Celtic ended on top of their group and made it to the last 32.

A Deportivo fan died in clashes between Atletico and Deportivo ultras. Both clubs plus the RFEF have condemned the violence. Really shameful.

Also, Dortmund's freak season continues.

The Heroes won comfortably (with Gimenez scoring his first goal for us, and a nice one at that) while Chavski and Arsenal both lost. Good day, good day.

I hope everyone is pleased with the Blyth Spartans result in the cup the other day. If you aren't you aren't a real football fan.

The top three all dropped points this weekend. It's somewhat excusable for Juve and Roma because of their massive CL matches this week but Napoli had to settle for a draw (after being down by two goals) to Empoli at home. Rafa Benitez should be banned from coaching in Serie A.

Now I'm obviously no Juventino but I'm looking forward to Italy over Spain tomorrow. Smiley

Doesn't matter. Unless Juve completely spank us we still win the group. I guess I'd like to see Roma as the runner-up in Group E, though.

It doesn't require a spanking because it isn't decided by overall goal difference; it'll be decided by head to head goal difference if Juve win. So all they need to do is win 2-0 which is entirely plausible. That said, I expect 2-1 Juve.

Such a roller coaster in the other Group A match (who would have thought?) but Serie A wins the day!

Such a shame for Liverpool though. Talk about a club in shambles.

Most massive match of the Group Stage so I'm taking a half day. Smiley

Hope Roma and their fans put on a good show for viewers especially since the match is live on FS1 today.
