The World Cup is over and the Euro qualifying thread is already started. Might as well open the club thread since training has begun.

Use this thread to discuss all things (rumors, transfers, results, injuries, suspensions, etc.) related to the Beautiful Game at the club level.

The Premier League kicks off on August 16th. Serie A starts on August 31st. CL Playoff round begins on August 19th.

Huge news out of Italy: Antonio Conte resigns as Juve manager. Scudetto race is between Napoli and Roma. Smiley

Probably going to take over as the Italian national coach now though. Sad

Massimiliano Allegri is the new coach of Juventus. Bwahahahaha.

And yes, they're probably selling Vidal. This is horrible news for Pirlo, too. Allegri is the reason he left Milan, saying he was past his prime...

La Liga's schedule was released today. El Clasico is October 26th. Suarez's ban just happens to end on October 25th.

But Goal.com is reporting that the CAS will reduce Suarez's ban, meaning he might be eligible as soon as the season opener.

Absolute. Joke.

First match of 2014 ICC. Milan getting thumped 3-0 to Olympiacos.

I'll be going to City vs. Liverpool next week at Yankee Stadium. Smiley

Rome Derby and Napoli vs. Juventus in Round 18 meaning those will also be the second-to-last season matches. Amazing.

Liverpool vs. City was a great time. I just happened to be sitting near the imitation Kop end. Liverpool "won" on penalties but each side gets a point because it ended in a draw during regulation.

As for matches that actually matter, that Celtic loss is really something else. Zenit also lost in an upset. I imagine both will rather easily turn it around in the second leg though.

Curious, but how did the game feel considering it was being played in a baseball stadium?

It felt like any other match. Our section wasn't far from the field. The midfield sections were further away but those are the only ones that probably felt the difference (the coaching staff and players sit pretty close to the sidelines behind the ad banners).

Yeah, meanwhile, I was one of only 12,169 (and I don't even think there were that many) at Roma vs. Inter in Philly. Tongue

Wow. So Celtic really didn't get through. Yikes.

Napoli have the chance to face some tricky sides. I really don't want them to have to go to Copenhagen. Italian teams vs. Scandinavian teams = no good. So, naturally, that's who we'll get. I guess I'd prefer to face Liege.

I didn't want to face Copenhagen but getting Bilbao is actually the toughest draw. At least we get to deny Spain a fourth spot. Wink

Folks. I don't think I can stress enough how important it is that Napoli get through. We need all teams related to the Spanish federation to be embarrassed this year.

Probably a UEFA conspiracy. I mean, who besides Warsaw (and Rangers) fans didn't want to see Celtic and the fans in the CL?

P$G beat Napoli 2-1 in the super prestigious, massive Aqua Lete Cup in Naples today.

But on a positive note, Lavezzi was applauded while Cavani was jeered through the match. Smiley

Napoli vs. Bilbao today. Must win and preferably by two goals or more. For those that don't care about Napoli, please remember that the Spanish federation* must not have more than the three disgusting teams that have already qualified.

*Have to throw that in just in case one of the "fans" around here throws a "THEY'RE BASQUE!!!!" tantrum.

I'd be happy if the glorious Athletic de Bilbao knocks out Napoli. They crushed Man United in Old Trafford not so long ago. Besides, I don't like Rafa Benítez.

Get out of here, troll.
