There are probably older threads on this topic, so my apologies in advance if this is redundant.

Well it was Minneapolis but now since I live here it's not special anymore and I'm not "visiting".

So I'll say Madison.

As New York City is close enough for me to consider it part of my "home"... I'll have to say New Orleans, LA.  Incredible city.  Incredible people.  Incredible parties.

Canada (well, ON+QC): Niagara Falls (despite Clifton Hill) or Quebec City downtown
US: Washington DC or rural Vermont
Other American countries: Havana, Cuba

France: Pointe du Raz or Crozon Peninsula
Italy: very much torn between Tuscany/Florence or Venice

Middle East: Petra, Jordan or Wadi Rum, Jordan
KSA: probably the Edge of the World or the Camel Trail in the desert outside Riyadh

Overall: very much torn between Tuscany/Florence or Venice

Hard to pick one spot. Vacation destinations don't line up neatly on linear scale. Crater Lake National Park is pretty damn spectacular though. Pairs well  with the nearby Redwoods National Park for a first rate trip.

In the States, I'd have to say central and west central Colorado, a couple beaches along the east coast, and south Florida.

I've sadly not yet been to the west coast (been almost everywhere else), but it's next, I think!
