Paul Krugman writes in The New York Times today that according to new research, even 74% of newly insured Republicans are satisfied with the Affordable Care Act.

How do you explain that one away if you're a Republican (politician)? Scaremongering clearly works still, since most Americans aren't yet aware of the many obvious benefits of the Affordable Care Act.

Krugman really says everything that needs to be said in that column (as usual). Well, the only thing he can't explain is why the Democratic politicians don't do anything to try fighting the GOP's lies and mass media's bullsh*t. This is a question for generations to come.

I'm haven't been following American politics or this year's midterm campaign at all. Are Democrats honestly running away from the success Obamacare has been?

Asking if Democrats are running away from their most successful and/or popular policies and positions is like asking if Krazen is a hack.

Obviously he hasn't been paying attention to the news lately.  Saying that Obamacare is working is like saying that 2+2=7 or that the sun rises in the west and sets in the east.

Or saying you should judge a party by its current views instead of the ones it held in 1860s.

Liberals are the people who order gruel at the nicest restaurant in the world. Then they brag about how nourishing it was.

Plebeians and their ridiculous sense of morality.

That Krugman is saying something is good evidence that it is not the case.

I'll take you seriously for a second: what aspect of this article do you disagree with? This article cites a few studies conducted by reputable organizations, interprets the data and draws the conclusion that the ACA has most successful in states where it has been fully implemented, if success means more people having health insurance.

Considering how many Republicans and even self-identified Tea Partier are enthusiastic supporters of Medicare and Social Security, its doubtful many would really care who the creators of the ACA were as long as the GOP talks enough about Obama administration scandals, tax cuts, and guns.

Or saying you should judge a party by its current views instead of the ones it held in 1860s.
I never said that.  The fact of the matter remains that Democrats have gone from being the party of slavery and Jim Crow to the party of job-killing taxes and abortion on demand.  The Democrats' policies of today are almost as repulsive to me as their policies of the 1860s.

Regardless of the factual nature of this article, Krugman is so far removed from academic economics that calling him anything more than an economic columnist is an outright lie. Krugman abandoned everything that earned him that Nobel Prize long ago.

Healthcare insurance is virtually unchanged since ACA. Democrats chose to continue the failed status quo, with a few tweaks to make it less bitter.

Sharpest coverage increase ever = "virtually unchanged".

So you admit that they've merely expanded the problem to cover millions more Americans. Bout time.

Being covered > not being covered. Is that so hard to understand?
