When you shot Harry Whittington during a bird hunt, were you pissed that he lived?

I've always pictured you as a young version of Haley Barbour (not necessarily as fat as he is). How accurate is this assessment?

Because Ronald Reagan is everything I hate about American politics.  The coded racism, the bowing down to corporate interests, the prioritization of upper class profit over middle class advancement, the portrayal of America as a Christian nation.  That's all bad enough... and then on top of it he is revered like no other not named Lincoln or Washington.  The legend of his greatness is so intrinsic to American politics anymore that I have to listen to liberal politicians I generally like endlessly praise him, and I have to serve on a Navy aircraft carrier bearing his name.  I find it insulting and nauseating.

Reminds me of this quote from a piece on Reagan's VP: George Bush was a genuine hero in World War II; Ronald Reagan was in Culver City making movies about it. The irony is that Bush really lives the eternal values so dear to conservatives’ hearts, while Reagan mouths them and winks. Life is unfair, said Jimmy Carter. Maybe history will do better.

Are you really Indy? Or do you just say that to impress people?

I'm Indy. Not Indie.

What's your relationship with Texasindy?

None. I have no idea who Texasindy is.

How concerned are you about a possible McDaniel-ization of the Mississippi Republican Party?

What kind of gin do you prefer in a G&T?

I am personally partial to Tanqueray or Bombay Sapphire.

What made you choose to go to MS State rather than Ole Miss?

Could you clarify your view on Elliot Rodgers? Some of us were quite shocked by your posts on that thread.

I have never tried to justify his actions. What he did was horrific and nothing less than wanton slaughter.

All I said was that when I read some of his writings that had been posted online, some of it hit really close to home - the loneliness, the feelings of inadequacy. But he was also a horrid racist and obviously had a lot of other issues.
