The idea was to poke fun at the silly narcissism of random members having AMA threads about their religious beliefs as if they're theologians or clerics. As such, they should all be on the Religion & Philosophy board, although Xahar had an excellent idea in originally putting his on the 2016 board.

Who are your favorite ministers/theologians?  Whose philosophies have had the biggest impact on your worldview?

Scott, I will direct you to my popular AMA over on the Religion board, where I am engaging with the fans on a personal level. However,

Who are your favorite ministers/theologians?  Whose philosophies have had the biggest impact on your worldview?

1. I answered this before. Antipope Felix V will always hold a special place in my heart.

2. Esoteric Hitlerism.

I just did mine out of boredom and I do like answering questions... Do you agree that just about every poster on the Atlas is narcissistic in some way or another?

There are already too many people trying to be funny with them, the people who are serious about them are merely piling on. For that reason, they'd best go on Individual Politics.

The encounter between the ironic and the irony-free is a recurring Atlas train wreck.

Actually I'd say it's a recurring Atlas wonder. Wink

I'll make an exception for Hash's since it's actually genuinely interesting.

I got the point, which is why I didn't start one and am leery of the ones that have popped up on the History board.

I was enjoying mine, until people started getting ironic about it.

Those are only semi-related. We were already vaguely thinking about doing something.

Yes. I wonder whether it has anything to do with the following image:

The interest of it is quite dependent on the questions that are being asked, no?

You see a lot of people don't "get" the humor they are supposed to be "getting" in those so they just assume it's about spelling incorrectly. They can be a bit impenetrable if they aren't absurdist enough, and I'm not sure I even see the appeal of the botched spelling. You have to admit the IRC gang's taste can be out of step with most other people sometimes (see: the hate for Doctor Who).

If I find the use of irony silly or pointless, I will simply ignore the irony. I suppose others do the same thing.
