I'd be very surprised if the answer isn't pop-punk.

Who says it can't be both at once?

Your dichotomies to prove whatever strained point are utterly bizarre.

What the f[Inks] is "emo-metal"? I suppose there are some emo-metalcore bands, but I can't imagine how on earth a band could mix emo with actual metal. Rites of Spring + Slayer = ?

Yet he will continually trot out the logical fallacies.. it is maddening.

It's a handy catch-all for whatever noise it is you listen to.

It's obviously pop-punk, but what in God's name does this question or its answer actually teach us?

Most 30 year olds would prefer Dudefest to being ritually disembowelled by a rusty pocket-knife... Just the same as most 30 year olds prefer pop-punk to Opera... Most 30 year olds would prefer Ingress over sitting naked in the corner of a room by themselves, in the dark - that doesn't mean Ingress isn't f***ing pathetic.

Your in-vain attempts to show that you're not a tragic wannabe and everyone else has the problem... would be cute if it weren't so sad.

I mean, I wish more thirty-year-olds were into the squalid realism of Cavalleria rusticana, or the heightened grand guignol that is Tosca, or the panoramic grandeur of Wagner at his best (but not the racist incoherence of Wagner at his worst), but...

Yeah, to be honest even I don't like opera very much and I'm one of the biggest classical fans on here.  I think there's just something about 99% of operatic vocal writing that leaves me cold and listless, though I'll happily listen to plenty of instrumental classical music.

Though, if we're going to turn this into a "post your favorite arias thread" (and really, that's exactly what we should do here), I do love me some John:

Doctor Atomic is an absolutely beautiful work.

While we're on the subject of Adams, it's not an aria, but I'm really fond of the entire 'we'll show these motherf[Inks]ers how to dance!' recitative sequence in Nixon in China.

On an ENTIRELY different note, get a load of the raw fury of Cecilia Bartoli's Judith in Vivaldi's Juditha Triumphans.
