Singapore is cleaner and it feels very much like the nicer place to live. I went to Hong Kong nearly five years ago and I've never been able to get it out of my thoughts since then.

Hong Kong because its dirtier and grimier.  That gives it the same kind of allure as places like New Orleans and Memphis have.

Judging by the responses so far, it seems as though Singapore would be the right choice for me. Also of importance to me would be which one would be easier to get around in...
