Dumb dumb dumb.

Hardly cancels out her years of work on behalf of the American people, though.

The "two state solution" recognizes and legitimates the state of Israel. That's not exactly a progressive position, if you ask me. You're either on the side of those who forced the Palestinians off their land and into an open air prison, or you're on the side of those demanding their freedom.

TNF, what would you advocate doing with the current population of Israel? (Not counting the Arab minority which I assume you'd say can stay where they are.) Legitimately curious.

I support a one-state solution. A democratic, unified, and secular Palestine for all its inhabitants, with protections for the civil rights of all.

So it's Israel's character as a Jewish (and by implication exclusionarily so) polity that you oppose, rather than the presence of its Jewish population in the area as such?

That's not the point of my quote.
What I wanted to say is that you're deliberately manipulating the facts in order to paint her as a extreme hawkish person, by intentionnally not revealing she supports the two state solution.

She supports taxpayer-funded subsidies for huge banks and corporations, why wouldn't she support them for big defense contractors as well?

Warren is a former TARP administrator who supported bailing out the financial industry. Going off her support for Yellen, she supports QE as well. Then there's her lack of support for auditing the Fed.

As for corporations, see here.

I don't actually disagree with anything in it, tbh. It doesn't change the fact the Israeli government is a bunch of morons and assholes and at this point bear most of the responsibility for the failure of peace talks.

I'm more inclined to for the U.S. to wipe it's hands with the conflict.  However, if we absolutely must be involved (which is a valid argument), and considering it seems that neither government is interested in a peaceful solution, I'm with TNF and say that a secular representative government should be imposed on the whole lot of 'em.

And what do you do when the general public uses that representative government to elect people to office who proceed to impose Sharia/Halacha/whatever?

And yet in that quote she castigates the Palestinians for making unilateral actions without mentioning any of the unilateral ones the Israelis have made, especially those concerning the "settlements".  It's clear that Warren has a pro-Israel bias, as do most of our politicians.

Most? I would say they bear all of the responsibility for the failure of peace talks in the region, given that, you know, they pushed the Palestinians off their land 66 years ago and stripped them of their civil rights.
