I agree with the posters saying Chic is better than KFC, but Popeye's is better than either of them (or any other chicken joint).

I've never eaten there before. I won a $10 gift card for there, but I have yet to use it. I thought it was noteworthy as the only place in a mall food court that was closed on Sunday (I'm aware of their policy on that, though I still find it very odd).

It's just fast food. It's not like it's *good* food. But, yes, it's tastier than KFC, whose "food" is so soft that one could consume it through a straw. Chick Fil-A has the best fries in fast food, hands down. They're waffle cut, which maximizes the surface area of the crunchy part. Their soft serve ice cream is slighty gritty, which I also prefer to the super creamy stuff most places sell.  They also offer college scholarships to high schoolers who put in 2,000 hours, which means they get a much friendlier, cleaner workforce than most other fast food places. In that regard, they're a bit like Starbucks with their health insurance and tip jars. All that said, it's still super salty junk food.

Chick-fil-A is indeed a more upscale, nicer version of KFC. It's still a fast food restaurant, though, and there are better ones out there that don't support radical far right religious organizations and the physical and psychological torture of gay minors.

I don't think I've ever even seen a Chick-fil-A here. I guess they don't have them on the west coast...

There's a Chick-fil-A in Los Angeles near West Hollywood. It seems pretty popular with tourists.

I eat and enjoy both but one is greasy fast food and the other, while not gourmet, is a bit higher in quality. I prefer Popeye's to KFC, though. Raising Cane's is great but I feel like their sauce kind of lacks and I'm not always in the mood for coleslaw! Give me some damn Okra or something!

There's also a local chain here called Bush's that I frequent (and whose livers and gizzards plate I love). Jesus, now I want some chicken, lol. Sad

Haven't eaten at one in years. In fact I've never seen a standalone Chick-fil-A period. I've only seen them in food courts like on my campus. There's one at the U of M and the airport too. Upon a Google Maps search there's a couple in a few outer suburbs but for obvious reasons I'm not in a rush to go check them out.

Chick-Fil-A might taste okay but it smells like homophobia.  Plus, KFC is better because it's slow cooked by atheists.

Is it hard to make better chicken than KFC?

KFC has always been too greasy for me, and because I'm picky I don't like to eat fried chicken with bones in it. I guess I'd take a chicken sandwich from any place over regular fried chicken, but Chick-fil-A seems to have perfected the chicken sandwich.

It tastes healthier. That is, when I bite into my favorite chicken sandwich, it isn't oozing grease.

But I totally understand your desire to stay away from the establishment because its owner goes to church or something.

Because the owner "goes to church". Yes phil, that's EXACTLY what people objected to. Roll Eyes

Oh, and to the OP, nothing holds a candle to Cane's.

Why would I go to Chick-fil-a, which I would have to take public transportation to the nearest one, when I can just roll out of bed and go "dahn to 'da O"?

And yes, as you can see by the menu, they have chicken.... And it's delicious...

But the fries... My god, are they good.
