Although I think its proponents are ludicrously optimistic, especially in its benefits for taxation (LEGALISE TO END THE DEFICIT!!!); I do support legalisation.

Of course, but mostly for economic reasons. Can't say I would partake in it much if it were recreationally legalized.

So much for dying from "dank herb" then.

I'll be back. With weapons.

Yes. It is nonlethal, is less addictive than alcohol and cigs, makes a massive tax base, and no one has ever died from it.

There has been a mistake. The poll question should read "Do you support the legalization of marijuana?"

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Where you high when you made the mistake?

If that's the case then you're definitely not a "Rockefeller Republican."

Let's please move beyond disguising radical, anarchist libertarianism as "moderate pragmatism" because you're not fooling anybody with half a brain.

Favoring legalizing marijuana is a controversial position, but really not a radical one at this point.

To be fair you can admire a politician without having to endorse every pet bandwagon they adopted.

Nobody has ever died from an overdose, but there have been reported instances of car related deaths, people falling over balconies etc. where there's been detections of THC in their blood stream.

To answer the question, I'm personally opposed to marijuana legalization, both recreational and medicinal.

The same thing happens when you get drunk.  People fall off balconies, they drink and drive.  If your going to ban Mary Jane, you should also ban Alcohol, and we all saw what happened when that happened.  We will see crime rates go down, like in CO, and we could use the taxes made off of it to give all of our teacher's a pay raise.

Has Colorado's and Washington's vehicle accidents (or A&E admissions) increased significantly post-legalisation?

What I was getting at is that it is exceedingly irritating to see "libertarians" act like they are hold the keys to every single solution posed by society's ills when, in fact, all of their positions fall entirely outside of the political mainstream - marijuana included.

How does marijuana legalization fall outside of the "mainstream?"
