Biden is a very good debater. If it were a Clinton-Biden race, Biden would not win, but he would get a big bump if there are any debates.

Biden is an OK debater but I don't see that as indicative of his overall political skills/appeal.

I do fondly remember the time that "Big" Joe Biden humiliated Paul Ryan on national television. But his debating skills do not outweigh his other weaknesses, unfortunately.

In the caucus system, you can change your vote so that it's not wasted, and so that's why the top 3 have almost all the vote.
