Thought this might be mildly interesting to some:

Carter: 25,159   37.6%
Kennedy: 19,296   28.8%
NOTC: 22,493   33.6%

Reagan: 39,352   83.0%
Bush: 3,078   6.5%
NOTC: 4,965   10.5%

I guess what I find most interesting is although significantly more voters turned out for the Democratic contest (66,948) than the all but concluded Republican race (47,395), a third of those voters showed up just to declare their ambivalence for either candidate.  It's a fact that Nevada never liked Jimmy Carter very much, but it's still surprising to see it so apparent within the Democratic party itself as well.

That didn't stop Jack Carter from trying to win Nevada. He lost by 14  in a Democrat year (2006).

Carter's official vote in the 1980 presidential election- 66666 (!!)

Only 27 percent of the vote to the Democrats that year.  How times have changed...

Kennedy had momentum in the latter part of the primary. He won NY, PA, MI and eventually CA and NJ on the final day of the primaries. The hostage situation, which helped Carter at first, and the souring economy started to work against him. If "None of the Above" had been a national candidate, he probably would have won a lot of delegates.
