I'll vote for this. I've got no moral objection to people who love each other being together.

I don't really share the sense of activism on this issue that the former Governor and some of my colleagues share for this, but at the same time, I don't really see a reason why it can legally be prevented. I don't think the government can or should legislate on issues of morality.

That said, my own great-great grandparents were related when they were married. Not one of their 11 children from their union suffered any severe mental or physical disabilities (though three died as young children through illnesses). My great-grandmother lived to be 87 and did not have any severe limitation on her faculties, nor has any member of my family suffered developmental disabilities, so I don't know how often such problems arise from those kinds of relationships, but in the case I'm most acquainted with, it didn't.
