Well given the events in Alberta, does anyone want to re-consider?

What events?

NDPers of all people should know not to count their electoral chickens until they've hatched

I could see the NDP polling into the 30s in Colorado.

Wasn't the Alberta polling laughingly wrong the last provincial election, anyway?

No it wasn't "laughably wrong" in the last election - to quote Lord Ashcroft, polling is a snapshot in time, not a prediction.

I thought the last 2012 Alberta polls showed Wildrose doing much better than they actually did and the PCs possibly losing their majority.  But that didn't happen, correct?

A post election study concluded that 58% of undecideds voted PC. There was a massive vote swing between the last poll and election day.

I don't think the Alberta NDP is that much further to the left than the Colorado Democrats.

Maybe not, but is it so "obvious" that Colorado is ahead of Alberta?

Certainly the PC's are to the left of the Colorado GOP. And Wildrose is at least more liberal on social issues than the Colorado GOP.

I suppose they're tied now:

Vermont - Socialist Senator
Alberta - Socialist Government
