You're very hard to place. John Adams, maybe (at least before the forces of darkness got to him Wink)

Probably Benjamin Rush. A doctor from Pennsylvania who was pretty progressive (for his time) seems fitting Wink

I'll give him what he wants.

Tempramentally reminds me of Edward Rutledge.

Wikipedia doesn't give me much, aside from wanting to expel African-Americans from the Continental Army and being an antagonist in "1776", so my hope of taking this as a compliment has worn thin.

Rutledge was a charming contradiction and like you, embraced his inner troll by attempting to oppose independence, all the while privately supporting it, in the same way that you take up for Nixon while acknowledging him as a bastard. Rutledge also freed his slaves, something Jefferson didn't do.

For Sawx, he reminds me somewhat of Aaron Burr.

While the signature leads me to automatically think of Washington, I'd say Ben Franklin. Both are humble, humorous Pennsylvanians who are well regarded.

In temperament, John Adams, in politics, Thomas Jefferson (I guess).
