I tried watching Attack on Titan and just could not get into it.
I like anime as much as live action and better than American animation, but I don't think it's inherently better or anything. I have a few series that I thoroughly love such as Gurren Lagann and Eureka Seven, plus a some others that are solid that I've seen once like Death Note and Eden of the East, but I can't stand some of the larger, more popular series such as Naruto or FMA. I kinda like Miyazaki, but find Studio Ghibli movies extremely overrated. I prefer The Girl Who Leapt Through Time or Five Centimeters Per Second, personally.
