Whadya mean? This is the off-topic board, and I wanted to see if some people share my opinion. I love both series, but if this is about me making a lot of threads, I have a lot of thoughts.

House has wit and humor to it, while Breaking Bad struck me as trying too hard to be serious and dramatic.

Breaking Bad, but House had a better finale. [/trollpost]

Awful (and inaccurate) take.

I like House a lot.  I have never watched Breaking Bad and don't even know what it is about.

If I can't understand the title of a show/movie, I am unlikely to watch it.  "Breaking Bad"..."Girl Interrupted"...what do those titles suppose to convey?  I have no idea what these shows are about.

"House, MD" conveys something - the show is about a doctor.  "Titanic" means something, as does "The Godfather", "The Exorcist", "Nightmare on Elm Street", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "The Gladiator", "The Walking Dead"...etc.

But titles like "Breaking Bad" just aggravate me and turn me off before I give the show a chance.

So you like unoriginal titles catered to idiots? Makes sense.

Here's the thing. Breaking Bad had a more thick cohesive plot, but you eventually become numb to violence and people dying, destroying the value of the WHAM moments. With House, it was more formulaic, but when sh**t got real, it hit hard. Kutner's simple death had much more impact than Gus because it was rarer. Same with cars meeting houses. You knew House is an ass, but you're more surprised when he goes that far, when you are waiting for Walt to do something like that. I still love Breaking Bad for many reasons, but House felt more impactful.

I've yet to really get into either, but Breaking Bad is clearly the superior show.

The first two/three seasons of House were excellent, with complex and endearing characters and serious moral questions being discussed. Then it descended into a stale self-parody.

This and the last few seasons were just terrible (compared to the other seasons).

I haven't watched either one and have no particular desire to do so. (abnormal)

Hugh Laurie is the better lead actor.

Let the flame wars commence.
