According to that clause, any individual residing in Atlasia would be eligible for the position.

Well, I am definitely in support of this bill. However, the duties listed for the MWES seem a bit vague. I believe there could be some clear listing of powers. And the AAQIS mentioned in Section 3 could definitely be explained further. Apart from that, this is a fantastic piece of legislation. I especially like Section 3 for getting rid of standardized testing, which I am not a fan of.

I love the idea of abolishing standardized testing, but we definitely need more insight on the MWES as Arturo said. I personally disagree with not warning teachers about their evaluations, but beyond that, the bill looks great! I might add an exemption as well that this bill be exempt from the Midwest Gambling Freedom Act because Section 2, Clause 3 could potentially be considered a violation of Clause 4 of MGF.

There was a previous Midwest Education Reform legislation. I encourage you guys to go through it for fear of duplicating things.

Thank you for the notice!

I perused through that previous reform bill, and yes, there is some overlap between the two bills. The previous reform bill already has a section that outlines regular teacher inspections, although it does not mention lack of notification beforehand.

Would Sol, Cris, and Gass like to present any feedback?

The federal government does already mandate a standardized test, the National Teacher Licensing Examination, through the Atlasian Institute of Teachers. The NTLE assuages concerns about teaching to the test because the teachers are actually tested directly. The law was also written to give the regions a say in what is tested and what isn't.

I don't think these provisions will affect your bill too much, but if you trust the licensing procedures of the AIT, you might find that the AAQIS is redundant.

You can find the relevant bill here if you're interested.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to take a lot at it and see what we can still do on a regional level.

Seeing as how Sol never gave an argument on his behalf as the sponsor of this bill and that a lot of the same stuff in there is already passed, I'm tabling this bill, effective immediately.
