All forms of media considered (though DC needs to get it together with live action movies. Killing it with animation, though), which of the two big comic companies has better stuff? I'll have to Minnesota 2008 close go with DC, since I prefer Green Lantern and Batman over anything Marvel has, though I still love Iron Man and Fantastic Four. It's honestly only for the sake of casting a vote. In addition, what movies would you like to see from Marvel and DC, and how can DC in particular fix their whole movie debacle?

New 52 is awful. I also don't understand why they are forcing Cyborg so much. Why can't we just have a nice, modern origin story with Clark, Diana, Bruce, John, Arthur, Hal, and Barry? Is that too much to ask? Is that so hard to do? The only thing like that I can find is Paul Dini's run, and it is kinda pretentious.

They wanted diversity, though I don't see why they couldn't go for GL John Stewart.

Anyway, DC. Though I do like Marvel's CU, I love the DCAU. I'd love to see a Doctor Strange film from Marvel & a The Flash film.

Phase 3 for Marvel seems to be panning out to be, in no order besides the last.
Ant-Man
Cap 3
Thor 3
Iron Man 4
Black Panther
Doctor Strange
Guardians 2 (introducing Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel)
Avengers 3

DC by a 1936-esque landslide.

I love both, but will always have a stronger affinity with Marvel. I grew up watching Hulk, Xmen and Spiderman, and got all the toys for characters that I didn't even know at that point (Iron man, Captain America, Ghost Rider). I know the Marvel Universe and the stories very very well, and that makes it an incredibly nostalgic experience going to see them in the movies. The heroes are flawed and mostly humans that gained power from some accident; DC heroes seem too god-like and "perfect" to me, and the fictional world they reside in (Metropolis, Gotham) adds to the difficulty to feel a connection.

TLDR: Marvel.

I'd love to see a Black Panther and Captain Marvel (Carol) movie soon.

I don't actually read the conic books, but overall I think I prefer the Marvel superhero movies.

As much as I enjoy the DCU, Marvel is clearly the better company at this point.  Still, both companies have a good stable of characters and I certainly wouldn't mind seeing an amalgam of their universes, but not the Amalgam universe.  A universe in which Batman and Wolverine both exist rather than merged into a new Dark Claw character might well be interesting.

I'm a DC-leaning guy at the end of the day (and I voted for them in the poll) but I'll be the first to admit that Marvel has been kicking their butt for the most part lately (particularly on the all-important theatrical front).

Batman > X-Men > Superman > Avengers > Green Lantern > Spiderman, so it's a bit hard for me. Tongue

Marvel's movies aren't afraid of their own genre's shadow.

I choose the company which doesn't hate women and hasn't decided that fan service to single men in their 30ties are the way of the future.

The stakes always seem to be higher in DC universe.

The stakes always seem to be higher in DC universe.

That's because the superheroes and villains of DC are archetypes and/or gods, while their counterparts among Marvel are humans with super powers. As such DC are more like mythology, while Marvel are everyday drama with super powers. Whether you like either version are a question of taste.

DC has the Vertigo line, so they win hands down.

I guess I like Marvel just a little better, as they tended to tackle real world subjects more often than DC did, amongst other things.
