$32,000 a year is kinda low. Then again if you are just a single guy with no obligations,  I can see someone like that driving like a 2004 Nissan, doing an SRO situation, but a nice TV and going on a road trip or camping in Europe every couple of years. Its a pretty middle of the road salary if you include people who work part time.

Yeah, that's why I said "I wish they could all pay $32,000 OR MORE...with some benefits". It's a minimum wish, rather than our current bounty of $7.25/hour for 30 hours a week (~$10,000/year).

At least if you are making $15 an hour, you will still struggle but won't need welfare.  I would say a "Middle Class Salary" (where you still don't quite have enough money but you are not struggling) would be 200% of poverty for a Family of 4, or about $47,000 and about $60,000 to $125,000 for a family. Maybe as high as $200,000 if you live in an exclusive area (you know, where middle class people pass as rich in the 'burbs) or have a sh**t load of kids.
