[I spent the winter writing songs about getting better]

So I learned that supposedly Belgians hate it, consider it the Belgian version of Budweiser, and the only people who drink it in Belgium are American tourists. I found that kind of funny since their marketing is so much different from Budweiser. However I can't disagree with the assessment. I didn't find it much different than pisswater mainstream American beer.

I also remember seeing an ad for it before a movie at an independent arthouse theater just after moving to Minneapolis. Alcohol ads are basically unheard of before movies at mainstream theaters in the US so that itself stood out, but it's clear what type of market they go for at a theater like that.

So of course I had to try it....and then discovered that it's actually really not that good.

Being a beer snob must be an awfully exhausting hobby. Just give me something to drink.

I'm hardly a beer snob, in fact I'm not much of a beer drinker in general, I go more for hard liquor, especially rum.

But I won't ever say "just give me something to drink." I'd rather drink plain tap water than the piss beer mass produced and marketed so widely by major brands.
