Well, since Perry and Santorum are likely running, and Cain has hinted at it too, why not?

She should revive televangelism and bilk viewers out of their money.

It would mean that Michele Bachmann would be able to accomplish something meaningful.

As much as this forum likes to laugh at how CRAZY we modern Republicans are, but someone like Bachman is never - I repeat: NEVER - going to challenge for the nomination.  It's like judging the '08 Democratic Party on the stances Dennis Kucinich took in the debates ... It might be fun, but he's clearly not representative of most Democrats.

Bachmann and Santorum are both trolls, Santorum was a particularly lucky one in 2012.

Don't forget about Gingrich's non-denials and the recent Romney buzz...

She was actually doing pretty well until Perry took the wind out of her sails.

Clearly 2012 was just a dress rehearsal for 2016. Tongue

But in the end, the extremists of both parties never get the nod.  Forums and rallies and marches might be populated with far right and far left people.  They certainly cheer the loudest at the debates and have the most outrageous signs at protests.  But they aren't a majority of either party despite the picture the media paints.

There's a reason she only gained 1% or so of the Iowa vote.

Yeah it's a sad commentary when you're called too crazy by the too crazies. No one has asked her because no one thinks she is a serious contender. As crazy as the Republican/Tea Party is, the potty-trained Republicans will not nominate a loon (Romney excluded, of course).

Some people think the Democratic Party is crazy, too.  They're just not brain washed partisan hacks who have to keep shouting that belief every second of the day.  Abe Lincoln could rise from the grave, perfectly acclimate to modern society and would STILL be labeled an extremist come general election if he were the Republican nominee.  No one called McCain or Romney crazy until they were our choice for the elections.  On your mindless train of thought, if there's an R next to your name, you're "crazy."  Not just someone who disagrees with you or sees the world differently - you're CRAZY.

As I noted in the tea leaves thread, she seemed to walk this back a little the following day:

In any case, here's her greatest hit:

Bachmann and Perry weren't far right. I'm not aware of any far right Republican politicians or far-left democratic politicians.

If you're using any other political metric/spectrum that's not based on American political parties, it's irrelevant here.

Bachmann? Forget about it. She couldn't win the nomination even if the only other option was someone like Ben Carson or Thaddeus McCotter.

I wish Bachmann would simply lose her voice for a while. She seems to have a big ego.

It doesn't, actually, matter who will run in 2016. It seems like, there is no one who is able to bring our country out of crisis.
