BTW - does anyone find it hilarious that he's going from a happy-clappy-literalist church, to come home and watch Big Brother?

I'm not familiar with the show. Does it feature shenanigans of which Jesus would not approve?

Meh, it's pretty PG. It seems like the kind of show gossipy church ladies would indulge.

I'm home from a good Evening Service.  I'm watching the Chiefs vs. Panthers right now and will watch Big Brother at 2200 on DVR.  I'll go to bed around 2245 or 2300.  It will be a shorter sleep, but I'll still get 7 hours which should be enough for tomorrow.  I'll go to bed at the normal 2200 tomorrow after MNF.

I don't have any second thoughts about watching the show.

Ah... it's only the old Australian and European BBs that are worth watching.

...

But on topic, have we gotten to the point where we have a 32? year old who cannot cook anything vaguely healthy for himself?

I think those of us who do cook for ourselves should put together 5 or 6 Bushie-proof recipes.

I don't think Bushie can cook anything...not even pasta without assistance. He lives off fast food, frozen dinners and lunchables.

I can cook eggs and bacon quite well.  I can do spaghetti after recalling the steps.  I can fry hamburger patties in the skillet and on a George Foreman.  I could fix homemade pizza after watching my mother make it a lot.  There are things I can cook.  The problem is not whether or not I can or cannot cook, but I don't like cooking for just one person.  That's why I end up getting fast food or eating microwaveable meals.  If I had somebody to eat my food with me, I would be a lot more willing and eager to cook.

If you have a DVR, can't you flip back and forth between the two shows during commercials?  Do you really need to sit through the commercials on the football game?

I could probably do that, but tonight I've been having intermittent cable issues and because of that my DVR only recorded 9 minutes of the 60 minute Big Brother.  I'll have to wait til tomorrow night to watch it online.

Leftovers work you know, dear Bushie. I am living alone right now too if I don't have a girl over, and I always cook for myself and eat whatever I have left over the next few days.

God invented refridgerators and ziploc for a reason, Bushie. You don't need to cleanup all the meat.

The Chiefs/Panthers game is about over and I will be going to bed right after the clock strikes 0:00.  So, I will say good night from here.  Good night, everybody.  Sleep well.

Jeff, a little grilled meat each night is very easy to do ... salt and pepper are all you need to season it properly, and you can do steaks or turkey burgers very easily on a George Foreman-type grill. If you put chicken or fish in a baking dish with salt, pepper and cover them in olive oil, they'll bake very nicely (make sure to cover the dishes in foil before baking).

We like to do sauteed spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms together and usually have rice as our third dish.

At the very least, him making his bacon cheeseburgers at home would save him a ton of money.

I would say the cooking lessons from a far are the most futile thing we could ever pursue. All I can recommend to Bushie is maybe watch some cooking TV shows. Good Eats with Alton Brown is a pretty good place to start.

Also, I just realized for Bushie to be watching and recording these kind of out of market sports games and shows that he does he must have the Ultimate Premium cable/internet package. So frugal!

Excuse me? What steps are there to cooking spaghetti? You put noodles into boiling water and drain it once they're soft. Dump whatever sauce and spices you like on it and you're done. Cooking spaghetti could not be more simple. If you have trouble with that, then the problem is most definitely that you cannot cook.

After recalling the steps?

You've regressed since 2011, when you said "I know how to cook a little bit, and I'm going to try to get my mother and grandmother to teach me more dishes.  Right now, my specialty is spaghetti.  I can fix spaghetti pretty well without too much trouble."

Also, what happened to this?:

Good Monday Morning!  I slept well last night and woke up at 6:15.  I'm ready for Week 3 / Day 11 today.  I am going to try to get off at 1600 today so I can run a couple of errands before I come home to start my evening.  I don't have anywhere else I have to go tonight, so I'll be able to relax quite nicely and go to bed at a normal time.
