Reruns of preseason football?

You should just play Madden or something.

After work today I am going to go vote in the Oklahoma runoff.  I am still a registered Democrat, but I am supporting James Lankford in November, but not Mary Fallin.

Bushie's failure was not only Bushie but his symbiotic relationship with illegitimate scam businesses.

This is the first real company with real products and a real profit motive Bushie has worked for since OK Gas.

It should go better than anything he's done in the Update Saga because the company is trying utilize him for a skill. That being  said, the typical Bushie character flaws of fanciful Kenyan dreams, terrible health, and long naps still loom.

Yeah, sometimes I worry we'll get bad news out of the blue. But you have to admit, this is the kind of job he should have at the right kind of office.

He does have a history of nothing but rosy reports right up until the moment he's escorted out of the building.

Good Tuesday Evening!  I am home from another really good day.  I have cast my vote for the 2014 Oklahoma Runoff Election.  Next up is the general election on November 4.  Tonight, it's some preseason football from this past weekend.

You know what guys, I don't have to listen to this crap anymore.  I'm going back to politics for a while.

I tell you what, Rockefeller -- since you've got such a great head on your shoulders, show us all how it's done. I mean, that's what you've been doing for years, right? Teaching each and every one of us here how to be successful. You've conquered obesity, pull in six figures a year, landed your dream girl and set your family on a path toward comfortable retirement. Right? RIGHT?

Jeff, we're the ones who put up with crap. Your crap. Your ridiculous mockery of a normal life. And some of us put time and effort into legitimately trying to help your worthless butt, only to have our advice rejected over and over again because you think you're smarter than everyone in the room. How's that working out for you?

You actually had a reasonable plan -- to keep your current job while looking for a new one, but for some reason, you've given up YET AGAIN. And doing so makes no sense. It's like you pick the absolute most-illogical path forward and take it in spite of the common sense and experience of others screaming otherwise.

Since you're a hotshot salesman now and hotshot salesmen like to take risks, I'll make you a bet, Jeff. I'm employed more than full time, since I'm on a corporate executive team. I'm in the middle of a move and am trying to manage the sale of a house. I have a long-term relationship, family and friends that I try to put above my own leisure time. In other words, I have a life.

I'll keep doing that life, and also apply for entry level jobs in Tulsa. S[hit] jobs like entry-level accounting and things like that. CADD jobs, even. I'm totally not qualified. I don't even live there, so there's no way I could do an on-site interview. Hell, I can't even get back to potential employers in a reasonable amount of time, because of the whole managing-a-life thing.

So here's the bet -- you keep your job now and do what you told us you'd do: apply for other things. And if you find something and land a better spot before I do, I'll buy you a month's worth of personal training / nutritional guidance / life coaching ... whatever we determine is best and most-achievable to you.

If I land a job in Tulsa before you, then you never post another inane and self-deluded rambling on this or any other site again. Because it's too goddamn frustrating when some of us have legitimately tried to help you to repeatedly see the same cycle of failure.

You know you're doing the wrong thing, and yet you pat yourself on the back for it.

Despite a rocky start, this has been a pretty uplifting season of Update. I just hope he finds a new lady friend soon so he can forget about Kenya again.

I mis Jeffison, but I am confident he will find a new partner of the female gender in due time. I just wish he'd learn to be more affectionate with girls. They love that stuff.

Yea, when he texts the girl, "Hello, I can not wait for Date #1 tonight at 18:00"... I'm not sure if "affectionate" would be the word...

One of his claimed reasons for the breakup is that she was disappointed that he wasn't more affectionate enough with her.

I'm sure there was some touching... followed by hours upon hours of crying and requests for forgiveness.  Bloody religion!

I'm not looking for a girl right now.  If God brings one along, then I won't reject it, but I'm not going to go out and look for one.  My plans are really starting to take shape with the notion of being single for life.

A girl is a her, Bushie. Not an it. You wouldn't reject her. And nobody is going to deliver a girlfriend to you on a silver platter. But don't give up on yourself if that's something you want. Nobody at church catch your eye?

I was aiming at the idea of having a girlfriend, not the girlfriend herself.  I wouldn't reject the idea of having a girlfriend.  The idea is an it, the girlfriend is a she.  Good catch, though, I should have clarified it a little better.

It's still too soon to entertain the idea of having a girlfriend for two reasons, First, I have only been split up with Allison for a month, so the emotions and the hurt are still somewhat fresh.  The hurt is healing, but I'm still in pain in my heart after the 4th failed relationship in as many tries.  Second and more importantly, I have only been at this job for 3 1/2 weeks.  I need to get myself established and do everything I can to make sure I survive the 90-day trial period before I add in possible dates.

Most people have more than four "failed" relationships in their past. It's not a big deal.

Of course, most people don't try to almost immediately marry any person that they get into a relationship with.

Most people have four failed relationships by high school graduation. If your feeling are still hurt about Allison, that's fair enough, but don't beat yourself up about having a few exes. They were just for practice anyway.

Although his emotions now explain what actually happened.  The fact that he's still sad and she didn't get upset makes it pretty clear that it was her who did the dumping, and likely not Bushie who brought it up.

I think we have established she dumped him. He posted about how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her mere minutes before and then deleted it and announced she and he had split.

What we know is he was too stiff and stoic with her and didn't show her any affection, so she left him.

Oh, I didn't see that.  Did he post that here or on Facebook?  I'm still not allowed to be his Facebook friend.
