I am 55 minutes from the first work night of September 2014.  Work Night 21 overall.  It has been a nice, relaxing weekend, but I am ready to get back to work to begin this new month.  My one month anniversary won't officially happen until this Thursday, September 4, but since I was only out of work for one business day in August and was hired on that day (August 1), I consider Month 2 to begin tomorrow since it is a new month.

Do they not have Chipotle in Oklahoma? Surely there's quick and cheap food that isn't hamburgers there?

Ethnic food that doesn't have some kind of horribly offensive stereotype as its mascot?  Not in Oklahoma!

I prefer if you got a Coke Zero instead of a regular Coke. Really disappointed in that, Bushie, but no fries is no fries. Thank you.

Don't knock him on the double whopper guys. Bigger burger is a better path to his goals than more empty carbs of french fries. That's the real point. Trying to get Bushie to stop eating empty carbs. And please for the love of god salad.

Regular soda is empty carbs, though.

If it's any consolation, I only drank about 2/3 of one large cup.  I did not go back for a refill and I poured out the last third of it.  So, I only consumed about 170 calories with that drink.  That's a little more than a can of coke which is 140 calories.

I'm pretty sure a large is more than 15ish ounces. Tongue

But at least you're making good changes Smiley

I probably had 18-20 oz today, but ice probably takes up 2-3 oz.

Even less would be to drink your entire meal with water, and then reward yourself with a small Coke if you must have that real sugar, for dessert. That's what I'm trying to help with here Bushie. You need a reward system for your eating. Hence, no ice cream until Oct 1st. The reward of ice cream and fries has a specific rule.

After your fries/ice cream challenge ends, and you feel comfortable moving forward, I strongly recommend you start setting specific days of the week where you get to have certain foods--ie Friday is pizza day and pizza is only allowed on Friday. That way when you get your pizza craving on Tuesday, it's easier to not give in, knowing there's pizza on the horizon.

And the problem with your counting system Bushie is that it's not adequately filling your stomach. Foods that are not dense in calories will fill your stomach more. 100 calories of lettuce is way more lettuce than 100 calories of bread. That's where you are failing and most  of it comes from a complete lack of vegetables, which is practically calorie free food.

For another reward system, I recommend ordering that side salad with your fast food and eating it first, with the reward being, when you finish, you get to have a nice delicious burger. Yeah, I know you hate salad, but knowing that the reward at the end is makes it much easier.

Plus most people who are hungry are actually thirsty. By the time you actually get to the point of feeling thirst, you're already dehydrated.

A 8 glasses of water a day means nothing... for someone of your size, I'd be looking at 1-2 litres of WATER per day. That's 34-64oz of water per day.

I think you're chronically dehydrated and keep in mind that EVERY SINGLE health and fitness expert tell you, you need water not only to function, but to increase your metabolism.

Water-weight happens not because you take on too much water, but because of your diet (too much salt) and because you don't have enough water regularly, your body holds onto it.

I just had an early dinner.  I went to Burger King, but only got a Double Whopper with Cheese with no fries and a coke.  I wanted Diet Dr. Pepper, but it was empty.

As long as he doesn't accidentally order a chocolate shake, laugh, and eat it since the day was already lost, I'll look past the regular coke this one time.

And to be fair, Bushie was asked about relaxations.

Good Tuesday Evening!  Today was a really good day at work.  Tomorrow will be the official end to Month 1, although I consider Month 2 to already be in progress.  Tonight, I think I am going to watch some September baseball on MLB Network.  With no football on, it will be good to watch a little baseball as the playoff races start heating up.  Tonight is also Day 5 of Week 5 of the Discipleship Training class on Wednesday nights.  I missed last week and I missed Sunday morning, so I am excited about going tomorrow night and starting September off the right way.  I am also going to get out and walk for a few minutes and take advantage of this nice weather today.  I am still going to do 10 minutes worth.

I just walked 10 minutes for 0.51 miles.  Tomorrow is an optional day for me.  Thursday, I will try to go up to 11-12 minutes.

Day 2 of the challenges and so far so good.  No fries, no ice cream, and no regular soda today and I did walk for 10 minutes.
