You can imagine the stigma when you tell your family and friends you are seeking help because an internet forum told you to.  They would tell you you've lost your mind, completely.

Then don't tell your real-life friends and family. If the psychiatrist tells you you're fine, then nobody ever has to know. If he wants you to come back regularly and you want to tell your real-life people (which you still wouldn't have to do), you can tell them you realized you had a problem and went on your own. That will be impressive, not embarrassing, to the people who love you.

Bushie, you really should consider getting on Food Stamps while you're unemployed. You've paid into the system for years, so you should feel no shame or guilt whatsoever about it.

Congrats Bushie. I hope you will consider my advice about food stamps. Depending on your new salary, you may still be eligible for them, and not having to spend money on food will help you save to Kenya.

There is NO shame in accepting government assistance, because that's why it's there. Plus, you've paid into the system.

Bushie, what is your current health insurance situation? Do you still get it through your Tribe?

Your income would make you eligible for a heavily subsidized Exchange product that includes subsidized copays and deductibles. You ought to look into that for next year, just to see what your options are.

I still get it through my Tribe where I pay nothing but the gas to get to and from.

You don't pay premiums or copays/deductibles? That's awesome.

If your tribe will cover all of your out-of-pocket expenses, you should still check out the Exchange and see if there are better options out there. There may not be, but it couldn't hurt to look into it.

Most employer sponsered health plans still require the employee to contribute something toward the cost of the premiums. If you're happy with the Indian docs and they charge you zero, I'd consider declining the employer plan. Also, if your employer's plan's premium cost is less than 9.5% of your income, you won't be eligible to use the exchange.

Anyone can use the Exchanges, but people who can get health insurance through their job can't get subsidies. There are probably some exceptions to that, but I don't remember the specifics.

Southerners just keep eating and eating in a single sitting until they just can't stuff any more in there, and that's considered normal.

While this is obviously true, I think it applies to other regions of America too.

(And Oklahoma isn't really a Southern state anyway.)

Will you watch Mississippi State take Southern Miss to the woodshed tomorrow? Should be a fun one.

Here is a photo from Google of the dessert Bushie accidentally ordered. A picture really is worth one thousand words.

I assure you there was only one of those sandwiches, not two, and the fudge was about half that amount.  There was also a strawberry on the plate.

I'm not gonna lie, that looks pretty good to me. Mmm!

It really does...I wish there were a Friday's around me now.

I don't have chocolate that often, maybe once a month or less.

Why not 0 times per month?
