I've been thinking about having some large, full-color prints made of one or two of my maps and offering them to whomever would like a copy. These are the two I was thinking of:

Unfortunately, the quotes I've been getting for having these copies made at a decent size have indicated that I would be paying about $15-20 per. So, if any of you would be willing to pay $20 for a 36" x 30" rendering of France 2002 or a 36" x 24" of the Northeast US 2012, I'll pay for whatever shipping costs remain. I'll even sign each copy so that it becomes a "limited edition collectors' item"! Grin

Reply here or send me a PM if you're interested.

That looks cool!

But what's that county in NW Connecticut that's stripped? Did that one tie or was there no majority or what?

I'd pay you 30$ if you could do a 1999 Austrian federal election map/poster by municipality (ca. 2400 cities).

Ron Paul won a town in Maine with write-in votes? That's awesome.

It's not really a town - it's technically an unorganized township. You can probably count the population of Concord Twp on both hands.

But what's that county in NW Connecticut that's stripped? Did that one tie or was there no majority or what?

Barkhamsted - incidentally, it's the only place so named in the world.

I'll send you a PM.

Anyone else interested? I can bring down the price somewhat if enough people express their interest.

That is awesome, Maine was one of the most pro-Paul states during the 2012 Republican Primaries. I wonder if a few families (assuming it is that small) got together and decided to all write-in him to make it show on a precinct map like this. Or maybe a group of libertarians got together to live in rural Maine. Who knows?

I'm not interested in buying it, but I am interested in looking at the maps, its truly beautiful! Thank you Homelycooking Smiley

You're welcome! The township in question is Concord Township (it's a municipality map, not a precinct map), where Ron Paul received 100% of the three votes cast. Ron Paul's write-in vote was negligible elsewhere in the state. Some local reporter should head out there and find out a little more about this peculiar result.

Do you have any other options? I'd certainly be willing to pay $20 for a large map, but neither of these interest me all that much.

This one, perhaps?

If you have something in particular in mind, I could make a map and a poster to your specifications...

France 2002 looks awesome! I'll definitely take one. Any chance it could be printed phosphorescently so it would glow in the dark??

If you still have this map anywhere, that'd be really excellent.

That's a fun idea, but I don't think the printer can do that.

I would definitely be interested in a France 2002 one.

I had a feeling that you would... Wink

How's this: I'll make you a new map of South Africa by ward instead of district.

Here's the proof sheet from the printer. This sheet is 54x36: the maps I'm having printed will be about half the size of the sheet, so the maps are about 1.5 times too large as shown on the proof sheet.

Last call (for now) if you want some of this.

The finished posters should be each have dimensions of about 36x30, plus or minus a few inches.

I can definitely make something to order for you, Hagrid. I don't know if I could realistically do a precinct map of the whole of Canada, but I could do one of a province or a city (as I have already done).

I wouldn't even mind a boring old riding map. Tongue But to be honest I think this is a bit of a pipe dream for me. They are really nice, but I don't know if it's something I should be spending money on when I still need to scrape up basic furniture for an apartment.

I understand. I wish I didn't have to charge so much per map, but I haven't had much interest and I don't qualify for volume discounts from the printer. Barter is always an option, though! Got any livestock? Grin

I have one more copy each of my posters of France 2002 and the Northeast US 2012. They look fantastic and very professional when mounted on the wall (not bad coming from a nerdy Internet chump like me, right?). You can have the homeliest room for miles around!

$20 buys either of these maps along with free shipping. If there's another of my maps that you'd like to see on your wall, I'll have it printed for you. If I haven't yet made the map you're looking for, let me know and I'll get to work on it. Contact me via PM or at ballotatlas@gmail.com.

Depends on which poster it's the size of.

Xahar? Not enough value for the dollar.

Bushie? Not enough room in my library.

This is a hand-drawn map I made of the 2010 UK election results about four years ago. It's hardly a professional production, but it's attractive, accurate and useful. Free to a good home, send me a PM if you're interested.
