Yeah, it's pointless to argue that these letters are bad if you keep meddling into them instead of letting those who actually want to play the game play it.

These threads have the potential to be good.  The concept is sound, but the execution is usually poor, as many of the participants make rather dumb contributions (no offense).  It does tend to work a bit better when each post is longer, like 10 words at a time, because then each person can get something approaching a coherent thought into it, but they still don't tend to work out that well.

One single letter thread; easily ignorable.  Half the first page of FC full of them, as we've seen on multiple occasions; not okay.  Best to nip it in the bud before they get out of hand again.
