Certainly anyone whose primary issue was that they like being a warmonger would support HRC over Paul. Maybe she'll get Condi Rice's endorsement.

He won't. As I've said before, if Rand is the nominee, he'll almost certainly choose someone with Neoconservative views as his VP. Both Mitt and the Dick will not be endorsing any Democrat anytime soon.

No, but, in order of likelihood, McCain, Cheney, and Christie very well might.

Romney said something in the last election cycle during the primaries that he'd support whoever becomes the GOP nominee, which included Ron Paul. If he could say that he'd support Ron Paul then he'd certainly support Rand Paul, who's much more nuanced in his views.

Unless David Duke is the GOP nominee, Mitt Romney isn't ever endorsing a Democrat over a Republican. He is definitely a Republican first.

People too often underestimate the power of partisanship.

Also Rand isn't nearly as libertarian as his dad, and after the primary he will be even less so if he is to win.

No, not a chance. Though I suspect some hard core neocons might in protest.

Not so much in protest as the fact that Hillary is a hard core neocon (at least compared to Rand)

Romney and the Pauls are friendly, so of course he won't.

McCain and Graham are probably the only Republicans more committed to blowing other countries up over partisanship.

If Romney were to do this, it would signal his intent to leave politics for good.  Unless a major political figure, and especially a sitting elected official or a person identified as a potential Presidential candidate, plans to switch parties, endorsing their party’s national ticket is a MUST.  If you don’t like your party’s Presidential nominee and you don’t want to switch parties and you want a future in your own party, the thing to do is to publicly endorse your party’s nominee, then do little or nothing to help them get elected.  But don’t refuse to endorse the nominee, and ESPECIALLY don’t endorse the candidate of the other party.  Lots of prominent Democrats became Democrats for Nixon in 1972, but most of them had to become Republicans to continue in politics.

...or someone who denounces the LDS Church.

Otherwise, no.

Rand Paul would be a dreadful choice for President. If he claims the mantle of his father on economics, he is quite authoritarian on almost everything else. But that is fine for the GOP.

Establishment Republicans endorsed Goldwater in 1964.

They kind of did.  Several, including Romney's father, refrained from supporting anyone, and there was even a semi-official "Republicans For Johnson" organization.
