What does that even mean?
I want to make King look bad so I write an article about teen pregnancy/birth in New Mexico. I use the abnormally high statistics in New Mexico to insinuate that New Mexicans are incompetent backwards bumpkins.
The statistics are generated by large immigrant populations and large Mexican American populations, who may have different cultural concerns than suburbanite white people. Therefore, I'd be racist for writing the article. I'm simply congratulating myself for living in a state with a relatively lower proportion of immigrants and Mexican Americans. HuffPo is racist.
I assume you meant Buzzfeed instead of HuffPo.
Anyway, I'm fairly certain that that's not what they were insinuating at all. If anything, they were probably going for the Ted Haggard/self-hating gay GOPer angle, rather than anything regarding minorities.
Anyway, back to the OP: Does this adjust for gay population? GA and CA, for instance, have above-average gay populations.
