Ryan, Kirk, and Edgar all were statewide officials that won statewide office prior.

Topinka and Brady were pretty much done, once they didnt win Cook Cnty. Edgar didnt even endorse Rauner in the primary.

Tribune and Sun Times commission their own polls in the Fall. Then, we will see Quinn cut into that lead.

Kirk was a congressman and Quinn can't count on flooding the airwaves with misinformation like he did last time since Rauner is a much better funded candidate

The GOP can definitely win in Illinois despite Cook County, but what most I think are saying is that you're never going to have something like a 14-point GOP victory here barring some massive, horrific scandal on the Dem side. And even then...
