… not Important! Like Putin, Obama now, with all the media aid can finish his siege on America, rebuild those Hamas tunnels, get the Iranian bomb finished, continue the Hillary push for Syrian rebel (ISIS) financing so to completely dismantle Iraq’s Christian beginnings’, build the wall to keep capitalism servitude intact - not important you say, like the title says, perfect for the progressive ideals.

I could add to the quote chain.

But yeah. If the Republicans shutting down the Government didn't "hand the Democrats the House", this won't.

That wasn't even the most extreme thing they did then, which was hold the debt limit hostage for blackmail. Anyone sane was already voting Democratic.

If they impeached Obama it might, but the general public doesn't actually pay attention to a lawsuit until it's ruled upon, and even then only if the ruling does something interesting. I can't see many if any swing voters changing their mind over this.

I'm not optimistic enough to believe that this automatically costs the GOP the House - but then again, it doesn't help them either. At all.

Republicans should be rooting for these delays on the worst aspects of this law, and encouraging the President to make more of them, not suing him over it.

Didn't Romney say something in the campaign about him stopping enforcement of Obamacare on day one of his wished-for presidency?

To give President Obama credit, he has been going to rally after rally after rally after rally hyping up the crowds and making sure at least some of America knows that it's taxpayer money that would fund a useless lawsuit based on "tyranny" while continuing to stress how the GOP refuses to do their job. So it certainly wouldn't hurt for Dems to campaign on this, but we would have been much better off as a party for the midterms if the Republicans had shutdown the government this year and sued the President last year.

Obviously impeachment would make a much bigger impact in November than a lawsuit would, but Scalise and the Tea Party gang are just going to wait for that bundle of fun to unleash until after Nov. 2014 just to make sure they still control of the House. That and there's only 12 House work days left until the midterm election, so not much could even get done on an impeachment trial between now and then, anyways.

The Republicans lose the House if the Democrats get a D+5 edge in Congressional balloting nationwide. Through gerrymandering the Republicans have a built-in advantage by 'packing and stacking' and were able to maintain control of the House in 2012 despite getting fewer votes nationwide in House races than Democrats, they have lots of R+3 or so seats to lose.

Making government unworkable three months before the Congressional election. That is a high-risk gamble with a small reward in the event of success. I'm no gambler, but that seems the stupidest of all possible bets. If one is to take a bet with a low chance of success, then take something with a big payoff.
