Echoing everything Marokai said, Pelosi's speakership was the most disciplined Democratic caucus to have ever existed. She managed to pass Cap and Trade, Obamacare, and so many other progressive bills in spite of being surrounded by scores of Blue Dogs, with some inventive methods that worked damned well.
