Upon objection from the floor, voting for the At-Large Senate endorsement will be delayed 24 hours, and at this time I welcome all candidates who wish to court the endorsement of this party to speak here on the convention floor.

How about we put something in the thread title like "accepting endorsement requests "?

Obviously I am requesting the party endorsement. I apologize for the fact that this campaign has experienced significantly longer lapses in activity than my previous ones, but I feel I have put forth a strong agenda thus far and will continue to do so as the election draws nearer. I promise that I will remain an active voice in the Senate, constantly fighting against new expansions of government power and trying to push back its egregious assaults on Atlasian liberty wherever I can. In short, I will be a voice for our causes in Nyman, and I just might triumph on a few issues. For those reasons, I humbly petition to be granted the endorsement of our glorious party, for I am dedicated to our principles and desire to be elected under the banner of none other than our own party.

If any candidate wishes to come upon the convention floor to make their case, you have 48 Hours, then voting will commence.

I believe I already asked for the endorsement of the party, but I now formally ask.

Basic income I'm fine with.   I don't quite understand drone enthusiasm.

For marriage, I would go in a different direction, namely supporting recognition of marriages however people choose to form them. I definitely don't think state recognition of marriages is a bad thing even from a libertarian perspective as it is a protection of the relationship and property involved in a marriage from being interfered with by the government.

My reasoning behind a plank for drone legalization is due to the increased proliferation of commercial drones, as I wrote awhile back:

I absolutely oppose this. It's a slippery slope with these things and the last thing we need is to put them in private hands.

I don't see what the problem is with legalizing them for some commercial usage. What do you think the consequences would be?

Most people roll their eyes when libertarians talk about drones, but hear me out for a second.

The general impression of drones is that they're "death from the sky." However, the reality is that the technology concerning drones is changing. For instance, Facebook is using drones to try and expand Internet access to millions of people in poor countries.

Out ice fishing, and you need a beer? Now you can have one!

These aren't the only reasons why I think private drone usage ought to be legalized. Drones could also be helpful in finding missing persons.

Naturally, I don't find the outcome desirable in this specific instance, but it shows the potential to be a lifesaver in other circumstances.

The chief problem being is that these enterprises have been truncated by FAA regulations. My take is that this could promote a better business climate in Atlasia, and we ought to advocate for that as a party.

'Drones' is a scary word for those of us who are strong proponents of civil liberties (as am I), but it doesn't have to be.

Thank you for inviting us to speak at your convention.

Liberty has always been at the root of how I've tried to contribute. It's been said that Victor Hugo once said No army can stop an idea whose time has come. The ideas and principals of that liberty we all seek go back further than any tyrant. The tyrant is a perverse facsimile of the upward climb towards universal freedom. Yes, I admit we differ at points on what that liberty looks like and how we should seek it. Yet it is our mutual journey.

Those who want to centralize economic power in the hands of government beaurocrats have no idea that the more control the government and those who benefit from the current status quo the less the market can effectively grow. Friedrich Hayek in Individualism and Economic Order continues

There is all the difference in the world between treating people equally and attempting to make them equal. While the first is the condition of a free society, the second means as De Tocqueville describes it, 'a new form of servitude.'

We have prominent citizens in the halls who are by force trying to make people equal and by thus failing to treat them equal. The perversion of nationalization of industry is on our doorstep and we need people in the senate who will not only fight it tooth and nail but promote the time tested methods of freedom to work their way into the halls of power.  We have a PPT who abhors our economic beliefs and is taking every step to hinder any hope of economic recovery by nationalizing the energy industry. Your own candidate to the senate has rightly focused on restoring the healthcare industry to the market and the demilitarization of the police. I happen to agree with him on those matters and on that I hope to build a coalition with you to gain entry to the halls of the senate and promote the ideas of liberty.

Thank you and may God and Dave save and keep Atlasia

Thank you very much for being allowed to speak to you,
My party believes in a Strong Atlasia. An Atlasia that can take of it's self. We wish to see an Energy Independent Atlasia, not controlled by the Bureaucrat in Nyman under a National plan, but through cooperation with the Private Sector. We wish to see an Atlasia that can feed it's self, which will require a re-think on our Agricultural Policies, which I am willing to hear input from all sides. I do believe in cleaning up our messes, which is why I support the strikes in Iraq. I know I may not be the candidate you agree with 100% of the time, but can expect a open mind to any D-R generated proposal 100% of the time, I will way out the merits of the proposal, here all the sides, and then become a supporter or opponent, being vocal on my view no matter which way it falls. I hope that you can give me your support. I again am open to any question you may have.

[X] Deus
[X] Polnut
[X] Mechaman

I'd like to put in a small plug for Polnut - he's pretty centrist when it comes to economics and has explicitly opposed a ground force commitment to Iraq, and I think there's something to be said for that.

Sorry I didn't get back to this earlier. I'm not too particular about the language as long as we expand equal recognition as much as possible. Do you (or anybody else for that matter) have any revisions to that effect?

Also, does anybody else have feedback on the other platform amendments?

Aye, though with reservations on the first paragraph under "Economic and Social Freedoms" and the bit about "user fees".
